This is an introduction to four designer/makers based in the Northwest who are united by their materials of choice for making things – that material being what some may call Rubbish, or Junk or Trash or Litter?!
Collectively, Dan, Jason, Michelle and Rebecca use various thrown away items e.g. crisps packets and tin cans. Using different parts and portions of items in different ways, introduce you to how they can be transformed in some way.
We intend to promote recycling and show how creative you can be with ordinary rubbish or junk. We will do this through the web, workshops, exhibitions and at events.
The workshops
We as a collective of designer makers will provide the workshops and service surrounding them to the public.
We will continue to communicate our message of increasing everyday reuse in order to help reduce the load on landfill and poor sorting of materials ahead of recycling.
We will involve the participants where appropriate in the refinement of the workshop programmes we deliver as well as display positive comments and feedback as evidence of our successful provision.
